Brittany Che' Oldland

Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner

I am a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a graduate degree in nursing from Chamberlain University. I began my journey with humble beginnings on a telemetry unit working with cardiology and neurology patients as a new graduate nurse in 2016. From there, I moved into the world of case management working with adults with intellectual and developmental disability; it was during this time that I obtained my bachelor's of science degree in nursing from Chamberlain University where I graduated Suma Cum Laude. Upon graduation, I obtained certification as a legal nurse consultant as well as a few others. For the past several years, I have been working as a registered nurse for MedStar Home Health providing a wide array of medical services to patients in the community servicing Harford and Baltimore County while attending my master's program. While in grad school, I was honored to train with some of the most prestigious medical doctors in Maryland, and while I enjoyed my time working in the primary care setting, my heart was pulling me in a different direction. I decided to start Che' Med as a way to pay homage to all of the things that I am passionate about - beauty, medical health, overall well-being, and the ability to provide patients with medical services in the comfort of their own home.    I personally think that typical provider bios simply dedicated to showcasing their accolades can be dehumanizing at times. So, I would like to tell you who I really am. I am a wife to my husband Daniel of 7 years, but we've been together for almost 14. I am a mother; I have a 2-year-old son named Jackson. Prior to having my son, I struggled with infertility related issues. I'm a dog & cat mom, we have a 9-year-old golden retriever named Natty, and a 5-year-old cat, named Stanley. I'm a mama's girl, I was raised by a beautiful, strong woman whom I owe the world to, & a badass bonus dad. I have 2 beautiful sisters. I have the best group of friends who have been around for years, and who I would give my life for. I cannot live without my eyelash extensions, or my hair being done. One of the ways that I enjoy expressing myself is through my hair, so I change my hair cut and color whenever I feel like it! I am also obsessed with helping others bring out their natural beauty. I used to do makeup for weddings to supplement college tuition! I also love working on my physical fitness; full transparency, I don't get to the gym as much as I would like to, but I love a good run and lifting weights. In 2019, I actually competed in a Savage Race with my husband, which I trained for - for 6 months! I might be a girly girl, but I am not afraid of getting dirty. Through my husband, I have gained a love of off-road vehicles, like dirt bikes and four-wheelers; personally, I prefer the four wheelers. We can't wait until our little one is old enough to get out there and rip it up a bit.  I am a huge college basketball fan! March Madness is my version of the Superbowl - sorry to disappoint anyone, but the Blue Devils have my heart. Some people tell me that cooking and baking is my true calling - I love making things from scratch; whether its cakes, brownies, bread, pasta, sauces, you name it - I love it! It is also my love language, if I cook or bake for you, that's how you'll know you're alright in my book. My sister's husband has a dairy allergy, so over the years, I have also learned how to cook and bake a lot of yummy dairy free recipes - a crowd favorite has been my dairy free donuts!  These are just a few tiny tid-bits about me. I love getting to know my clients on a personal level, you're not just a patient, or a client to me. I enjoy sharing life experiences as a way to connect with those under my care, and I can't wait to learn all about you!
